Simple but effective sample tone generator

Tone Generator creates simple, polyphonic sample tones based on frequency and saves them to a tone or .wav file. It gives a choice of wave types and has linear or log frequency ramps, but there is limited control over how tones are combined to make a polyphonic sound. I would like to see some envelope control added to shape the attack and decay, plus the ability to repeat a tone with a delay.

Simple and Useful

Tone Generator is simple and useful. It doesn't have excessive features that make it hard to use but it had everything I needed. I was looking for the ability to create a frequency sweep which was logarithmic.
Recommended.

Pitching

Tone Generator I find very easy in use and has many usefull features.

Unfortunately I did not continue my use of after my very first try since I could not increase/decrease the pitch by each cent using the + and/or - key.

I noticed that clicking on eighter + or - only jumps up or down several frequencies at a time. This I found very dissapointing since it was of great importance that I could easily, with one touch of a button, higher or lower the pitch.

It was my intention to adjust or tune the frequency to any musical tone by ear alone, as an eartraining exercise.

Nevertheless, I assume Tone Generator has its other, more of important, functions and purpose of use. Perhaps it was never ment as an eartraining program in the first place.
